Celtic attack clubs’ supporters

Response to Celtic’s ‘Supporters Update’

We note with increasing concern the ‘update’ published by the club at 18.45 yesterday (18/11/25). This lengthy and oddly-timed diatribe appears to be yet another attempt to deflect from the Board’s own failings – failings which are acknowledged across a broad swathe of the support. The timing of this intemperate attack is itself suspicious, coming as it does three days before what is likely to be the most difficult AGM this Board will face. By publishing this irresponsible and dishonest piece which, in the absence of any investigation, accuses Celtic supporters of criminal acts, gives misleading information regarding the Safety Advisory Group and issues threats of more collective punishment, the Club is behaving in an inflammatory and unhelpful way. We urge the Club to pull back from this approach and to commit to engaging in good faith with the support and we urge the wider support not to be misled by these divisive tactics nor to be diverted from the important task of holding the Board to account for their unsatisfactory performance.

  • I back the team.I don’t back anyone who wears one of them public schoolboy-looking uniforms, nor their master Dermot Dastardley.

  • where can we go to hold the so called fans collective to account for their unsatisfactory performance, this taking the easy pot shots and continuing to divide and embarras the club and our support

can some one please explain to them how a board works, they seem to think they know but clearly they cant tell the differance between the board and the recruitment team, but then again their beloved brenan said so (even tho he actually said the board ALWAYS fully supprted him)

The Fans Collective is made up of fan organisations and CSCs. Their identity is there for all to see.

    • Eddie, brendan said board supported him after moaning the week before. Obviously he pulled back, probs cause he got slap on the wrist. At the end of the day, we have lost every champions league qualifing match in the past 10 years. Mostly against teams smaller than celtic and with less revenue. Why? Because we are never prepared due to poor recruitment. That is on the board and they never learn. You do realise they just want to stay still and make money, they are not pushing to make celtic better are they? If you believe they do then okay.

  • This protesting is getting out of control and is doing no good. Who are they? What qualifications do they have?

You dont need to be a scientist that specialises in Faeces, to know when you see POOP.

Fans have eyes and ears and every transfer window what we see and hear is often incompetence.

Board says every penny is invested back into the club, but at the same time they stockpile vast amounts of money and pay a large corporation tax bill cause of it and they have said a new/extended stadium will not happen. Wake up and the smell the Coffee.

In modern terms / the supporters have woken up to the custodians methods of managing the CLUB on behalf of the fans and that they dislike ANY criticism from the financial arm of the concern / I.E. the people who pay to support the club, yes , remember Them ?

  • You lot are embarrassing the club, you unfairly malign Dermot Desmond & accuse the board of all manner of things from your keyboard warrior positions at a time of unprecedented continuing success for the club….god help us if you’d been around in the last days of the Kelly regime….get behind the team, our new manager & the board…go to the AGM & speak your mind ….then let them continue to shoulder the burden of expectation from some of the most self entitled fans in the long illustrious history of our magnificent club……rather than continuing a public spectacle of rancour that no doubt feeds the MSM who have never had our best interest at heart

  • This website claims a lot of things, but doesn’t give any specifics
Having read the Celtic statement I cannot see were they’ve:
    Lied, misled or been divisive.
FYI the SAB dictated the timing by arranging the meeting & sending the letter, to which Celtic replied.

Celtic are one of the few clubs to run at a prophet. Where will any section of fans be sitting if we have to renovate the stadium? We cant go to Hampden or Murrayfield. Just buyimg a top name striker costs big bucks. Playing J Kenny and other young celts is the right way forward. It takes years and millions to build success. We dont get the SKY monies. Why not back theam and then get a collective club fan base to Challenge the SKY TV deals.

  • A few on the board think they are tough guys but it will all end in tears. It was the same approach when they continued to back Lennon because a security fence was pulled down outside CP. We know how that season turned out. The board is out of touch having spent way too long hanging on at this club and taking inflated salaries with little scrutiny and minimal performance criteria. They brief against the fans at every opportunity. It’s like the board from are you being served!

Why do people think they can tell the board how to run their business.
I do get the frustration, as we pay good money for SB. Yes voice your opinion ( which yous have done many many times.) But yous dont run the club. Also yous are only the minority, plenty people waiting on SB….

  • I love my club, no confidence in the board.

My sincere hope for our club is to be the very best , to reach that goal we need to make the difficult decisions need to be made, I don’t have a season ticket but I have supported the club my entire 65years. The board has shown in the recent years it does not have the same level of commitment and vision as the supporters.

  • The board and the minority shareholder with 100% power are feeling the pressure. These parasites are now involved in spreading division amongst the support. It has been clear to me for sometime now that our club will not move forward until Desmond and all his ” Yes ” men are removed and replaced with forward thinking people who have the best interests of our club at heart.

Give football a chance to flourish. This is about Glasgow Celtic. It’s not about Anything else but football. Not should it be. I’m on my way to Celtic park all the wonders of the land.🇮🇪

  • It seems that the world class celtic exec team are in full divide and conquer mode. Attack members of the support whilst we dont have a manager and the stadium is crumbling. Classic deflection from Nicholson, Lawweellll, Desmond, McKay and the other freeloaders because they havent a clue how to fix any of it.

  • This fight is gonna take years not one AGM but never the less it has to start somewhere.
The GB or any Celtic supporters group are not the issue here ….the Board want to focus their pathetic statements on mostly the GB to detract from all their glaring failures which in turn leads to the division amongst the support to change the anti board narrative.

Unfortunately for them the vast majority of the support can see through the tactics of Despot Desmond and his follow follow lapdogs.
They are displaying a one sided controlling dictatorship that has no interest in listening to the very people who fund their lifestyles.

Celtic must have a Board who work for the supporters ambitions and uphold the values of our very being and not just to reward greed and dismiss what in their eyes is the little person ….a club open to all not a closed shop.

We shall not be moved but they absolutely must be.

    Shame on them

We the supporters have made Lawwell and his cronies millionaires during their time at Celtic. They have made a fortune out of us.So do everyone a favour and have the good will to step down you have had a long innings which you have been well paid for.Why dont you try and put something into the club instead of taking taking taking out .
